These are the themes that the FS Italiane Group, led by CEO Luigi Ferraris, led to the World Congress on Railway Research – WCRR 2022, the world’s largest railway research congress which took place from 6 to 10 June at the International Convention Center in Birmingham, UK.
“The Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, sponsor of the WCRR 2022, through its companies RFI, Trenitalia, Italferr and Italcertifer, – FS says in a note – was among the main actors of the congress. Five days of international panels, with a program of 60 oral and interactive presentation sessions and nearly 300 abstracts, and the opportunity to share new visions of railway technical development and discuss its future direction. “

The prize was also awarded during the final closing ceremony of the event Best Paper Award. In Rail Competitiveness category was received by Giusy Elena Caci, Italferr sustainability expert. During his speech, he talked about the new engineering concept adopted by Italferr, which interprets each project as an opportunity to dialogue with the communities concerned and enhance the reference territory.
