WC coach dead after battle with cancer

It is Frank Carroll’s former employer, the United States Figure Skating Association, who comes with the news of his death.

“Coaching legend Frank Carroll has died after a battle with cancer,” writes the association.

“Changed the life of every rider”

During his 60-year career, Carroll trained, among other things, Olympic and World Cup medalists Michelle Kwan and Evan Lysacekthe latter of which won Olympic gold under Carroll’s direction.

– He changed the life of every rider and parent he encountered, Michelle Kwan said when Carroll retired in 2018 at the age of 80.

The American coach was inducted into the Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2007, having been inducted into the American equivalent since 1996.
