Poromaa’s bronze
The 22-year-old thus won the very first WC medal of his career and also secured the first Swedish men’s medal in this championship. And that after an absolutely incredible performance in the five-mile.
Extra impressive was also that Calle Halfvarsson came fourth and Jens Burman in eighth place. Poromaa’s WC bronze is also the first Swedish championship medal for the men’s national team in six long years.
