WC bronze to Sweden after a nightmare start

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

It started hard for the Swedish relay team in the Biathlon World Cup. When Peppe Femling switched over to Martin Ponsiluoma, Sweden was in 18th place, but after that Sweden rose quickly in the rankings.

Through stable shooting in a windy Oberhof, Ponsilouma managed to lift the Swedish team to fifth place, which became fourth place when Jesper Nelin then handed over to the finished Sebastian Samuelsson.

France finished victorious, and Norway took silver, in third place came the Swedish team after Samuelsson’s stable finishing run.

It was Sweden’s seventh medal during the WC in Oberhof, which means that the national biathlon team has now broken its own WC record.
