Tunisia – Australia
Tunisia impressed greatly against Denmark in their last game in Group D. Their defensive heroics and determination have earned Tunisia 1 point ahead of the match against Australia. We don’t think it will last all the way against Australia – who showed edge against France despite their loss.
The odds are very high that Australia will pick up the win against Tunisia. There is really nothing in their WC squads that testifies to the contrary. We are playing for a straight second – and hope Tunisia does not play as well as against Denmark.
Poland – Saudi Arabia
Nobody seems to have missed the extremely big bang when Saudi Arabia managed to win against Argentina. The question is, can the team keep the same enthusiasm going forward against Poland. Everything points to there not being another ruckus when we check the odds.
We do not want to repeat our mistake of underestimating Saudi Arabia. However, it is very difficult to land in anything other than a victory for Poland. We dare to bet on a straight 1:ai match – with the hope that the superpowers of Saudi Arabia do not last.
Denmark – France
Denmark didn’t look quite right in their form in the last match against Tunisia. Now that France is on the other side, it will be incredibly difficult for Denmark to grab points. France displayed an expected dominance against Australia.
Should Denmark lose the match, the team will be on 1 point before the final round. There may be a bit of panic in the Danes – but we think they will resolve the situation despite losing to France in this match.
Argentina – Mexico
Argentina are coming off a fiasco with their loss to Saudi Arabia. The national team is said to have received a serious beating from coach Lionel Scaloni – as well as harsh criticism from home. Now only a win against Mexico is accepted. If points are lost, the championship can be in great danger.
We think Argentina manage to scratch Mexico. Which the team’s previous statistics support. In fact, Argentina haven’t lost to Mexico since 2004. The teams have played each other several times since then. All matches since 2006 have ended with Argentina winning by at least a two-goal margin.
