Hogwarts Legacy 2 is a major priority for Warner Bros. Games, with CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels revealing that the sequel is central to strategic plans.
Warner Bros. Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels has stated that “Hogwarts Legacy” will not be limited to a single game, and that a sequel is a big priority for the company. “The sequel to Hogwarts Legacy (is) a big priority for the company,” Wiedenfels told Variety in an interview.Hogwarts Legacy 2) is clearly going to be one of our top priorities in the next few years,” he said. “The growth we’re going to see in this area is central to our strategic plans.”

Hogwarts Legacy was originally released for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in February 2023, and quickly became one of the best-selling games of the year, selling over 12 million copies in its first two weeks and over 22 million copies total for the year. The game also received a major update for players in June.
Wiedenfels stated that the release date of the next Hogwarts Legacy game has not yet been announced, while the Hogwarts Legacy Director’s Cut version is currently in development.
