Waze will present one of the newest features of Android

Android Autoreceived a major and overdue redesign at Google I/O earlier this year. Among the new additions, it has brought a stylish split-screen interface that allows you to better use your car’s screen. With the new version of Android Auto now in beta, Google Maps has added support for this multi-app dashboard. However, Google’s other mapping app Waze has been behind on that process so far, but that could change very soon.

Many Waze fans using Android Auto Coolwalk are disappointed that Google’s own mapping app still doesn’t support split screen on car displays. It is one of the highlights of Coolwalk that allows you to see multiple applications at the same time so that you do not have to deal with the screen while driving. For example, one half of the screen can show your directions, while the other half has the music player and your messages.

While Waze still opens in fullscreen mode in Android Auto, some Reddit users recently noticed a message suggesting an update is coming soon. According to the interim post, Waze will soon add support for the split-screen clipboard on Coolwalk, but didn’t specify exactly how long. Still, it’s good news for Waze users who don’t have to wait long for the app to fully support the new Android Auto.

You can also test the public Android Auto beta. All you have to do is join the beta program of Android Auto from the Play Store. However, if it says the beta program is full on your end, instead APK MirrorYou can download the latest Android Auto beta from , and check out the new layout before anyone else while you wait for Waze to catch up.
