Wayne Gretzky Parkway road work begins May 1 Routine road maintenance on sections of Wayne Gretzky Parkway begins May 1 (Wednesday). City officials say the maintenance work will continue to May 2. The parkway will remain open and to minimize inconvenience to motorists the work will be done between 6 pm and 6 am on both days. The areas affected include Wayne Gretzky Parkway between Lynden Road and Edmondson Street and the Wayne Gretzky Parkway – Lynden Road intersection. There may be lane closures or shifts while the work is being done, city officials say. Motorists are being advised to plan their travel accordingly and to drive safely.
