    Be careful if you bought watermelons at Lidl. A recall was issued by the government site Rappel Conso following the exceeding of the maximum limit of a pesticide. Find out which stores are affected.

    If you recently bought watermelon and chose it from Lidl, you must return it to the store and not consume it.

    A maximum pesticide limit exceeded

    Indeed, the government platform Rappel Conso, which reports food unfit for consumption, shares a recall sheet concerning watermelons sold at Lidl. In many stores of the famous brand, these fruits with the maximum residue limit on the molecule called “flonicamide”, a molecule which is used in the composition of pesticide, were sold between May 11 and 17, 2024.     Flonicamide can be dangerous to your health if ingested in large quantities. Indeed, it can cause digestive disorders, nausea, vomiting and headaches.
