Be careful if you bought watermelons at Lidl. A recall was issued by the government site Rappel Conso following the exceeding of the maximum limit of a pesticide. Find out which stores are affected.
If you recently bought watermelon and chose it from Lidl, you must return it to the store and not consume it.
A maximum pesticide limit exceeded
Indeed, the government platform Rappel Conso, which reports food unfit for consumption, shares a recall sheet concerning watermelons sold at Lidl. In many stores of the famous brand, these fruits with the maximum residue limit on the molecule called “flonicamide”, a molecule which is used in the composition of pesticide, were sold between May 11 and 17, 2024. What is the procedure to follow ?
Flonicamide can be dangerous to your health if ingested in large quantities. Indeed, it can cause digestive disorders, nausea, vomiting and headaches.
