Saab water bombed during a fire protection exercise joints in Lake Yngaren in southwestern Sörmland last summer. The company is now punished with a company fine of SEK 50,000 for species protection violations, reports P4 Sörmland.
It is considered that the protected bird was disturbed by the water bombing.
– The crime has been committed within the framework of their business activities of negligence, says Chamber Prosecutor Håkan Andersson at the National Unit for the Environment and Work Environment in Jönköping to the radio.
Saab has lamented the incident and stated that they have now reviewed their processes to ensure that something similar is not happening again.
