Watching the grass grow: it’s possible in Groenekan

Watching the grass grow its possible in Groenekan

On the website www.biodiversityutrecht.nl everyone can watch how the individual lawns grow. You can read the temperature of the soil here 24 hours a day, but also the moisture content and soil conductivity. Various parameters can be clicked to visualize the differences between the grass mixtures.

Edwin Pos of Utrecht University: “At the moment you hardly see any difference there, but that makes sense because the plants haven’t grown yet. But that will happen and if you find it interesting, you can watch with us.”

In addition to Utrecht University and Landscape Heritage Utrecht, T-Mobile, Gamma, Movares and the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund are also involved in this project.
