Finnish goalkeeper Kevin Lankinen kept the Vancouver Canucks in the winning battle in the hockey NHL with his saves, but Vancouver eventually succumbed to the Philadelphia Flyers at the end of the winning shootout with the goals 2–3.
Lankinen blocked 29 shots during the game and withstood three Philadelphia attempts even in the winning shot contest. In the third set, Lankinen stretched to a real top save by blocking Jett Luchanko corporate.
