Watch out, he’s coming back! Stéphane Bern is going to play a vigilante in a series again

Watch out hes coming back Stephane Bern is going to

Stéphane Bern continues his acting career despite the mockery. After creating a buzz by playing a police officer, he returns in the shoes of another vigilante this week…

Stéphane Bern is decidedly merciless with viewers. The famous host of France Télévisions, known for hosting historical shows and who has no equal when it comes to commenting on the news of royal and princely families, has taken on a new challenge in recent years: becoming an actor. A bold reconversion that was not without a few shaky sequences and without avoiding mockery.

In 2020, when viewers were surprised to discover Stéphane Bern’s face on the poster for the TV movie “Pour l’honneur d’un fils” on France 3, the surprise was indeed great. The host played, for the first time in his career, a character role, that of an Air Force commander grieving the loss of his child. Internet users were not without amusement at seeing Mr. Patrimoine swap his microphone for a firearm. The sequence where we see him brandishing a pistol with a menacing eye quickly went viral, making Stéphane Bern a meme on the web. Not everyone can be Clint Eastwood…

But the host-actor, far from being destabilized, took these jokes philosophically. “As soon as I have a gun in my hands, everyone makes fun of it on social networks! It makes me smile. And it creates buzz around the TV movie, it’s very good”, he confided to Le Parisien recently. Invited this Monday, September 16 on C à vous on France 5, he returned to this episode: “I’ve been made fun of enough. Do you remember with the meme? It was viral on social networks. It was very funny!”

Not at all discouraged by this first experience, Stéphane Bern decided to go for it and take on a series of roles. After the military uniform, he put on the magistrate’s robe to play the prosecutor Antoine Bellefond in the eponymous series on France 3. A major challenge for someone who readily admits: “I could never have been a lawyer, I didn’t study law.”

Except that Bellefond seems to have won over the public, gathering more than 4 million loyal viewers for its first two episodes. A third opus is therefore expected this Tuesday, September 24 in prime time. We will find Stéphane Bern/Antoine Bellefond grappling with a complex case: the defense of Mathilde Duprieur (played by Tania Myriam), accused of the murder of her husband. To complicate the plot, Commander Philippe Vasquez, played by Bruno Solo, a long-time friend of prosecutor Bellefond, will also be part of the show. Quite a program…
