Watch out for these signs! New epidemic panic, statement from WHO on ‘mysterious hepatitis’ cases

Watch out for these signs New epidemic panic statement from

A statement came from the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the ‘mysterious hepatitis’ cases that are spreading in the world. It was stated that at least 169 cases of ‘mysterious hepatitis’ were detected in Europe and the USA. It was shared that the general symptoms of the virus are abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting, and high fever is not seen in most cases.

DISCLOSURE FROM WHO: AT LEAST 169…

In the statement made on the WHO’s website, the latest data on hepatitis cases, which are claimed to be related to Kovid-19 and are considered as a new “global epidemic”, were shared.

While cases with symptoms of severe hepatitis virus of unknown origin have been reported from 11 countries to date, 114 cases in the UK, 13 in Spain, 12 in Israel, 9 in the USA, 6 in Denmark, 2 in Ireland, 4 in the Netherlands and Italy. It was reported that 2 people in Norway and France and 1 person in Belgium were infected with the virus.

The total number of cases was announced as “at least 169” due to the possibility of more than 2 cases in Ireland.

17 CHILDREN HAVE LIVER TRANSPLANTATION

It has been noted that hepatitis virus is usually seen in those aged between 1 month and 16 years, and liver transplants have been performed in 17 children so far due to the severe effects of the virus.

ATTENTION TO THESE SYMPTOMS!

It was shared that the general symptoms of the virus are abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting, and high fever is not seen in most cases.

It was reported that 74 of the cases had adenovirus affecting the upper respiratory tract, Kovid-19 was seen in 20 cases, and both adenovirus and Kovid-19 were found in 19 cases.

Known hepatitis viruses, hepatitis A, B, C, D and E, were not found in any of the cases.

DON’T KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED

While there is no concrete conclusion about how the virus is transmitted, no evidence has been obtained that international travels cause mysterious hepatitis infection.

It was emphasized that the possibility of hepatitis cases to be associated with adenovirus and Kovid-19 should be further investigated, and the assumptions that these cases are a side effect of Kovid-19 have not yet found a scientific response.

Reiterated advice to WHO member states to identify, investigate and report to the Organization signs of mysterious hepatitis cases.

SEEN IN 74 CHILDREN IN ENGLAND

WHO, in its written statement on April 16, announced that 74 children in England had detected the hepatitis virus of unknown origin.

It has been reported that symptoms such as jaundice, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain have been observed in the last month in children in whom the virus has been detected, and some cases had severe liver inflammation and were treated with liver transplantation.

It was noted that one of the cases was caused by contact with someone or several people with hepatitis, and it was not known where the other cases got the virus.

‘GLOBAL EPIDEMIC’ SUSPECT

The definition of the disease as “mysterious” or “of uncertain cause” brought to mind the possibility of a new “global epidemic” while bringing the Kovid-19 virus to mind.

WHO announced that Kovid-19 was also detected in some hepatitis cases, but the cases should go to genetic characterization in order to clarify the connection of hepatitis cases with Kovid-19.

Before being named, Kovid-19 was described as a “mysterious lung disease”.
