Watch Mico Ahonens surprise for his father on live TV

Janne Ahonen got a taste of his own medicine at the opening of the World Cup in Ruka, when the Mico boy sent greetings to his father. According to the king’s eagle, there are a couple of misunderstandings associated with greetings.

A funny moment was seen in the Suurmäki race in Ruka, when Mico Ahonen surprised his father Janne Ahonen.

Former high jumper Janne Ahonen currently works as Urheilu’s ski jumping expert. Mico Ahonen sent the greetings “Moi Janne” to his father in the sports studio’s gloves.

When Mico Ahonen was little, Janne Ahonen sent greetings from the race to his son via TV cameras in the same way. This is what happened in Bischofshofen in 2003 during the Central European Hill Week.

– A delightful, even sensitizing surprise, Janne Ahonen acknowledged the situation in a live TV broadcast.

Golden eagle Ahonen also revealed a funny misunderstanding in the commentary at the Ruka World Cup this weekend.

– I heard that Mico Ahonen, Janne Ahonen’s brother, was commented on yesterday’s qualifying on a channel in a certain country. The situation was rectified.

Ahonen said afterwards that the greetings came unexpectedly.

– It’s been a while. I didn’t know how to expect something like that at that point, Janne Ahonen stated and admitted that he was really moved.

In Bischofshofen 2003, Mico Ahonen was only two years old when Janne Ahonen sent his famous greetings. There is also a funny misunderstanding associated with that.

– Even today, people come to tell me that it was nice when you always showed those gloves. However, that was the only time I showed gloves, Janne Ahonen laughed.

Mico Ahonen’s competition was the first in the World Cup. He was 44.

– I wasn’t quite satisfied with the show jumping. It was okay in qualifying and in training, but this was not so good. After all, this was a big stage to get through the qualification. I don’t have any bigger goals. If the jumping could be improved and the World Cup could be toured elsewhere, Mico Ahonen said.

No less than three Finns jumped to the second round. Kasperi Valto was ninth in the opening round, Antti Aalto 18th and Niko Kytösaho 20’s
