On Monday, President Sauli Niinistö will discuss regional security issues with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

Niinistö and Duda are scheduled to discuss bilateral relations between Poland and Finland and regional security issues. They are also expected to comment on the situation on the eastern border.

Poland and Finland have a shared experience of people trying to land through the eastern border, who are the machinations of a foreign state. In 2021, the autocratic president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko drove thousands of people to the Polish border.
