When a woman in Skåne showed a liver spot to her doctor at a health center, she was advised to dry it out on her own using glue or freeze it.

After six months, the spot was re-examined by another doctor who concluded that it was skin cancer, reports P4 Malmö house.

The lex Maria incident is now reported to the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo). According to the report, the delayed diagnosis meant a serious risk of the cancer spreading.
