SMHI has issued a yellow warning for heavy thunder and rain showers during Monday afternoon and evening, which may bring up to 40 millimeters of rain and cause flooding in parts of western and central Sweden.
The warning covers parts of Norra Götaland and southwestern Svealand, an area from Falun in the north, Linköping in the east, Jönköping in the south and the Norwegian border in the west.
The rainy weather is predicted to affect traffic and risk causing flooding in, for example, basements, stormwater systems, roads and viaducts.
SMHI notes that large local variations can occur and therefore cannot say where the largest amounts of rain will end up.
