    Kremlin dismisses cable allegations: Laughable

The Russian power headquarters, the Kremlin, dismisses accusations that Russia has sabotaged data cables in the Baltic Sea.

    – It is quite absurd to continue to accuse Russia of everything for no reason. It is laughable in the context of the lack of reaction to Ukrainian sabotage activities in the Baltic Sea, says spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Two data cables in the Baltic Sea, one between Finland and Germany and one between Sweden and Lithuania, have been broken or damaged in a short time. Authorities in Sweden and several other countries suspect sabotage and have started investigations.

“Trees are falling all over the city and falling on homes. If you can, go to the lowest floor and stay away from windows. Do not go out if you can avoid it,” writes the fire department in Bellevue, on X.

Whistle blowing care assistant wins in HD

The care assistant raised the alarm about shortcomings during the pandemic and received a sharp warning from his managers. Now she is winning in the Supreme Court (HD).

The care assistant received a written reminder after she told a journalist about abuses at one of the care company Attendo’s residences during the pandemic.

In its ruling, HD writes that the company’s message to the employee had a strikingly sharp message. Now two representatives of the company are being sentenced for violating the Act on Whistleblower Protection in certain individual operations.

The penalty is set at daily fines.

“In the ruling, the Supreme Court has made it clear that an employer who gives an employee a warning, because she or he has provided information to the media, can in some cases be convicted of a crime,” says Christine Lager, who was one of the judges in the case, in a comment and continues:

“It does not matter what the employer calls the notice. The decisive factor is whether the message conveys a sharp message of retaliation to the employee”.
