Sergey Lavrov warned Western countries not to underestimate the escalating risk of nuclear conflict in Ukraine. Lavrov argued that NATO is waging a proxy war against Russia by supplying weapons to Ukraine.

Lavrov said that an agreement to end the war in Ukraine depends on the military situation in the country. When asked about the Third World War, he replied by warning of “nuclear conflict”. “The danger of possible nuclear conflict is serious, real. We should not take it lightly,” Lavrov said. said.

Lavrov also reacted to the Western countries’ supply of weapons to Ukraine in the interview. Stating that such support is aimed at prolonging the war, not ending it, Lavrov said, “The storage facilities in the west of Ukraine were targeted several times by Russia. How else could it be?” said. Noting that NATO is fighting Russia through Ukraine, Lavrov said, “NATO is waging a proxy war. War is war.”
Speaking about the negotiations, Lavrov accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of “playing for the cameras” and said that he compared this feature to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
