– There are two low pressures that merge into one and move north over the country, up towards Finland, says Emma Härenstam, meteorologist at SMHI.
At the most, there may be up to 50 millimeters of rain in some places.
– There are large local variations and we can only see the larger amounts of rain at points.
Low pressure continues north over Sweden
Large parts of Lake Orsasjön and Siljan are still flooded from previous rainy weather, but this weekend’s rainfall will not affect the water levels to any great extent.
– We will see some local rise in Dalälven and Gävleborg, but it will not get worse, says SMHI’s hydrologist Emil Söderström.
During Saturday and Sunday, the low pressure will continue northwards over Sweden and the Norrland coast risks getting wet locally
According to SMHI, a yellow warning means, among other things, the risk of basements, storm water systems, roads and viaducts being flooded.
