SMHI issues a yellow warning for occasional snowfall that may cause traffic disruptions in Dalsland and central Bohuslän. The authority warns of slippage, slush, poor visibility and snow drifts.

The snow is expected to fall on the night of Saturday until Saturday evening. According to SMHI, it is difficult to assess how much snow will fall and whether it will remain or not.

– It is very uncertain, but there could be difficult road conditions in connection with showers of rain and snow that are activated over Lake Vänern. It is good to keep up to date if you are going out in traffic, says Sofia Söderberg, meteorologist at SMHI.

The meteorologist urges to drive carefully also elsewhere in Sweden.

– If the temperature is close to zero and the roads are wet, you should take it carefully. It is important to be aware that the temperature shown in the weather forecast does not represent the road surface.
