Strong winds and heavy snowfall are expected in the coming days before the New Year. SMHI has issued a yellow warning in an area from Sundsvall up towards Luleå, and an orange warning for snowfall applies to Örnsköldsvik up towards Umeå.
– A deep low pressure west of Norway brings rain in the south, which then turns into snowfall somewhere at the height of Värmland. Take it carefully on the roads, says SVT’s meteorologist Maria Augutis.
