Japan freezes assets of 398 more Russians, including Putin’s daughters
Japan announced on Tuesday the Imposition of new sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukrainewhich includes the freezing of assets of 398 more people, including the daughters of President Vladimir Putin and the wife and daughter of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“In order to prevent the situation from escalating further and reach a ceasefire to end the invasion as soon as possible, it is necessary to adopt severe sanctions”the Japanese government spokesman, Hirokazu Matsuno, said today at a press conference.
Japan thus joins the countries that have extended their sanctions against Moscow as the information and images of the apparent murder of civilians in the territories that until a few weeks ago were occupied by Russian troops transcend.
