Staff Sergeant William James (Jeremy Renner) joins a bomb disposal squad full of elite soldiers who undoubtedly have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. They have to defuse bombs in Iraq and therefore regularly find themselves in extremely tricky situations.
While Sergeant JT Sanborn (Anthony Mackie) is more of a sensible one and Specialist Owen Eldridge (Brian Geraghty) is the fearful one, William James tends to be a daredevil. His often reckless and sometimes ill-considered actions sometimes even put the troops in great danger.
