Linn Svahn aims for a comeback next season.
Then the star hopes to be stronger than ever before.
– I want to create a 2.0 version of myself, she says.

Linn Svahn is one of Sweden’s leading cross-country skiers. But in the winter of 2021, she had an unfortunate fall and injured her shoulder, which kept her out of the tracks all of last season and thus missed the Olympics in Beijing.

“Going better than planned”

Earlier this spring, Svahn told us that she will not train with Sweden in the coming season. Instead, she will run her own venture and aims for the WC in Slovenia in 2023.

It has been a few months since Linn Svahn made the announcement – and has since been training on her own with her own team. And so far everything has gone well.

– Everything is going better than planned. I have been training, more and harder than I have ever done at this time. I’m aiming for this winter’s WC, she tells TT.

“Becoming Linn 2.0”

There are around four months left until the World Cup premiere. But Linn Svahn does not know if she will be fully recovered by then. Therefore, she does not want to leave any information about her comeback.

– My thought this year has always been to optimize my conditions towards a championship. It would have been an optimal revenge for me to do it in a different way than the last WC, two years after the injury, she says.

The 22-year-old continues:

– This winter it will be 2.0 by Linn Svahn. Then it could be 2.0 plus, maybe 3.0. In my last competitive year, I was a skater who had a high capacity in both traditional and sprint.
