Two drivers suffer serious injuries in Brant County crash

A Wallaceburg motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Dresden Thursday afternoon.

Just before 3 pm, emergency crews responded to the scene on Dawn Mills Road at Croton Line in Camden Township.

Chatham-Kent police said a man driving east on a motorcycle and a man driving south in a pickup truck collided. Both vehicles left the roadway and came to rest on the east side of Dawn Mills Road.

“The 49-year-old Oil Springs man in the pickup truck suffered minor physical injuries,” police said in a release Friday. “The 57-year-old Wallaceburg man on the motorcycle was thrown off and suffered fatal injuries. Despite efforts to revive the man, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends.”
