A 38-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with domestic-related offenses after Chatham-Kent police were called to a Wallaceburg residence on Monday.
A 38-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with domestic-related offenses after Chatham-Kent police were called to a Wallaceburg residence on Monday.
Police learned the accused was arguing with a woman on Sunday when he allegedly attempted to stop the woman from leaving by tackling her.
The woman suffered a laceration near her eye, police said.
The accused was located on Tuesday and arrested.
He was charged with assault and forcible confinement and held for a bail hearing, police said.
Police investigating thefts
Chatham-Kent police are looking for the public’s assistance with two theft investigations that both occurred overnight Monday.
Police said a 15-foot, 2019 Legend dual axle enclosed trailer was stolen from a property on Howard Road in Chatham.
The trailer was last seen with a ‘Cutting Edge Insulation’ decal on the side and license plate S9567X.

Police are also investigating the theft of a green Outboard 14-foot aluminum boat and black two-wheel trailer, along with a black 2010 14hp Mercury motor, stolen from a St. Clair Street address in Chatham.
The trailer was last seen with license plate J1071C.
