The season will close with the Walk for Alzheimer’s on Saturday, May 25 at Chatham’s Kingston Park from 10 am to noon. There will be live music, local vendors, face painting, games, collaborative artwork and other activities.

Aiming to raise $65,000 this year, the society encourages local businesses and long-term care-retirement homes to compete in a fundraising challenge.

To participate, register a team and start raising money. The business and the home that raises the most funds will each win the Heart and Sole Award, and further recognition.

The annual Dawn Butler Memorial Awards will go to top individual and team fundraisers.
