The 2024 Vuelta a España is the 79th edition of the Vuelta a España cycling race and takes place from 17 August to 8 September 2024 between Lisbon, Portugal and Madrid. Primoz Roglic is the big favorite of this edition to save his season. Aleksandr Vlasov, Daniel Felipe Martinez and Florian Lipowitz could take on the role of leader at Red Bull – BORA hansgrohe if, by chance, the Slovenian was not in good enough shape. Joao Almeida4th in the last Tour de France, and Adam Yates are also expected. 11:00 – First big explanation about the Vuelta
The 4th stage of the Vuelta 2024 starts from Plasencia for a first mountain stage of 170km that will take the riders to Pico Villuercas. Four passes are on the program, including the Alto de Piornal (1st category) in the first 50 kilometers. The final climb to Pico Villuercas, with its last 3 kilometers at 15-16%, will be decisive for the stage victory.
