The Red Bull – BORA control the gap at the head of the peloton in the climb of the puerto de Pradilla, and the gap, which had grown to more than five minutes, has come back down. Primoz Roglic probably plans to attack in the final climb.
14:37 – Five riders at the front
There are five who have broken away at the front of this 19th stage after fifty kilometres of racing: Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates), Edward Planckaert (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Fran Miholjevic (Bahrain Victorious), Simone Petilli and Vito Braet (Intermarché-Wanty), with a 2’40 lead over the peloton. Eduardo Sepulveda (Lotto – Dstny) is in pursuit at 1’35.
1:30 p.m. – Ben O’Connor’s last day in red?
After saving his red jersey by five seconds at the start of the week, general classification leader Ben O’Connor could see the magnificent adventure end today, with a final climb that should see attacks from Primoz Roglic, Enric Mas and Richard Carapaz, who showed he was in good shape in this third week yesterday on the ramps of Puerto Herrera.
