On the same day that the government abolished the environmental bonus for electric cars, Volvo cars launched its electric SUV EX90 – the first Volvo car built for electric operation from the ground up.
The company, which has struggled with declining sales figures and has been slow to enter the electric car market, is now investing heavily in becoming fully electric by 2030.
Breathe premium
The car has a range of 60 miles. Completes the Stockholm-Gothenburg route on one charge. Is full of new safety features and breathes premium. But then it also costs:
In the basic version, the EX90 will have a price tag of almost SEK 1,100,000 – it’s been a long time since Volvo was a car for ordinary Svenssons.
