The decision affects 1,100 jobs at Volvo Cars and another 200 in various areas around the country.
This corresponds to 6 percent of the workforce in the country, reports Dagens Industri.
The company says it is restructuring to “ensure the company has all the relevant skills needed to succeed in next-generation mobility”.
