Sarnia Celebration of Lights’ organizers are looking for volunteers Saturday morning to help “tear down” its displays at Centennial Park.
“We need about 100 people and several trucks and trailers to help transport our displays around the corner to our storage units at Sandrin Services,” said Dean Holtz, a member of the event’s volunteer board of directors.
Registration for the community tear-down day is at 9 am behind the Agora Stage in the city park, where the displays were set up before Christmas and lit up evenings through the holiday season.
Students looking to fill volunteer hours needed for graduation from high school are welcome, Holtz said.
“We just ask that you bring your volunteer hour sheet,” he added.
He added all minors younger than 18 helping out during the day must be accompanied by an adult.
“Refreshments will be provided,” Holtz said.
