During a walk that he goes on as a guide, he is asked how the nature in the area in Amerongen is doing. “Things are going relatively well here. If you look at nature in the Netherlands as a whole, we can’t complain here,” he explains. “But here too we suffer from the consequences of too much nitrogen. Just look at the amount of blackberries and nettles. They love that. To keep this area as healthy as possible, we have to take very good care of it.”
