At a time when the situation on the front line is, by kyiv’s own admission, extremely tense, the Ukrainian army has announced several major strikes on Russian infrastructure. First, it was learned that the Morozovsk airbase in the Rostov region had been targeted.
L’Ukraine does not provide details on possible damage to Russian aircraft, but claims to have destroyed a warehouse of munitions and gliding bombs. These are the deadly bombs dropped by the Russia on Ukrainian positions and cities, as well as oil reservoirs in the border regions of Kursk and Belgorod.
Ukraine also announced that it had sunk the submarine Rostov-on-Don in the harbor of Sevastopol, which had already been damaged in September 2023. This $300 million submarine is used in particular to transport cruise missiles that regularly strike Ukraine.
Also in occupied Crimea, four Russian air defense systems were reportedly damaged. These large-scale attacks seem to be partly confirmed on the Russian side since the Defense Ministry announced that it had intercepted 75 Ukrainian drones and acknowledged attacks on oil depots.
The Ukrainian president congratulated his armed forces. I would like to thank each and every one of our soldiers and all those who work in our defense industry for striking Russian airfields, oil refineries and logistics facilities. ” wrote Volodymyr Zelensky in his daily statement, adding that ” Every such strike brings us closer to the end of the war “.
