Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky replaced the chief of staff of the national armed forces, according to a decree published this Sunday, March 16, when kyiv’s troops are in trouble on the front. This is particularly the case in the Russian region of Koursk partially occupied by Ukrainian soldiers since August and where, faced with the continuous current progression of the Russian units, the commander -in -chief of the Ukrainian army, Oleksandre Syrsky, had suggested on Wednesday that his men were withdrawn.

Since then, an important decline in this region has been confirmed by the Ukrainian army staff, which broadcast cards this weekend showing that Ukrainian forces were not notably present in the city of Sudja, their main taken in this sector.

The current chief of staff Anatoly Barguylevytch is therefore dismissed and his post is assigned Andriï Gnatov, we can read in the decree. In a press release, the staff explained that General Gnatov had been responsible for increasing “the effectiveness of vertical management” of troops, in particular “the reorganization and implementation of the corps”. He will also have to improve “the application” of the decisions of the Supreme Commander -in -Chief team, President Volodymyr Zelensky, and bring “combat experience” in command.
