Emmanuel Macron knows that we want more. ” The Head of State also praised the “motivation” of his soldiers which was “decisive”.

The question of the referendums organized by Russia in four Ukrainian regions occupied by Vladimir Putin’s army was only briefly touched upon, with Zelensky replying simply that “the annexation of Crimea in 2014 did not unite Europe”. . As for Vladimir Putin’s announcement to call on 300,000 reservists to intervene in the conflict, the President said in a serious tone that these reservists “will have to shoot at the Ukrainians and we will have to shoot at these people”, thus calling on the Russians to “demonstrate” what “is always safer than war”. Finally Volodymyr Zelensky gave for the first time an estimate of the number of Ukrainian soldiers killed per day. It was said to be “50 men a day”, but cautiously added that this was an estimate.
