The explosions that occurred on Japan’s volcanic Niijima island on November 23 were recorded by the Japan Coast Guard Forces. While smoke was seen rising from the island in the images reflected on the cameras, it was announced that the volcanic rock pieces scattered around by the effect of the explosion reached a height of 200 meters.
It is known that some of the more than 14 thousand islands and islets in Japan have volcanic features. Volcanic activity occasionally causes the formation of new landmass.
