(Finance) – The RTI Kyndryl, Lutech and Vodafone group signed the convention Consip for the provision of professional services that will allow the entities of the Central Public Administration to migrate their on-premise applications and platforms to the cloud.
The lot awarded by the RTI Kyndryl, Lutech and Vodafone has a maximum amount of 45 million euros (increased, compared to the initial 30 million euros, following the Decree-law of 21 October 2021 n.146). The lot is part of a broader “Agreement Picture for the provision of IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) cloud services in a public delivery model as well as for the provision of connected services, professional services to support the adoption of the cloud , professional technical services for Public Administrations “.
From now on, Central Public Administrations will be able to purchase the services professional of the Consip agreement to which the Kyndryl, Lutech and Vodafone grouping is awarded for the support and execution of the cloud migration of their platforms and / or systems.
In short, the professional installation, configuration and validation services of the three companies in RTI will enable the migration of the data from applications installed and managed on-premise to applications in Software as a Service (SaaS) mode, i.e. in a mode that allows users to connect in web-based mode and use applications residing in the cloud; or that the entire service, together with the infrastructure, data and traffic, can be migrated to a cloud hosting.
Design services are also included security policy and the metrics of monitoring, as well as support for the management of incidents that could occur in the exercise of workloads on cloud environments and, finally, a training service for Administrations. The entire migration process in cloud it is therefore managed as an end-to-end project, from initial assessment to post migration support.
The agreement has a duration of 24 months with a possible extension six months and the migration to the cloud can take place both for infrastructure services purchased with lot 1 under this same Framework Agreement, and for existing services previously purchased with instruments other than this Framework Agreement.
Bringing about 75% of Italian PAs to use cloud services is one of the five objectives for transition digital to 2026, together with connectivity, services, skills and digital citizenship. 27% of resources totals of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
More specifically with regard to the cloud, the funds of the PNRR have as their objective to enable, support and facilitate the migration to the qualified cloud of administrations, and allow to secure data and public services through reliable and resilient infrastructures. The transformation of services public through the adoption of the cloud (defined by an enabling program developed by the Department for digital transformation in collaboration with theAgency for Digital Italy AGID) is considered essential both to guarantee the country to grow, compete and create new opportunities for the market, and to allow citizens to enjoy digital rights. The purpose for which the migration to the cloud of the Public Administration contributes is to make it better “ally”Of citizens and businesses, with an offer of increasingly efficient and easily accessible services.

The abbreviation of this new agreement testifies the role ever-growing Vodafone alongside the Public Administration in the path of innovation and digitization accelerated by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
L’Consip Framework Agreement for the provision of professional services for the migration to the cloud of the PA represents a further expansion of Vodafone’s portfolio of solutions, which already includes the supply of products and services for the construction, maintenance and management of local networks (Lan Networks Agreement ), the services for the management and maintenance of the technological park of public entities (SGM Framework Agreement), the security services of the Security on Premise Framework Agreement, the connectivity, security and advanced communication services provided for by the Framework Agreements SPC2 and CT8 . As part of the PNRR, in the recent Infratel tender to connect over 12,000 healthcare facilities to broadband, Vodafone has been awarded the connection of healthcare facilities in two macro-areas (Piedmont, Liguria, Valle d’Aosta and Abruzzo, Basilicata, Molise, Puglia) .
