(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Vodafone Group has completed the sale of its 70% stake in Vodafone Ghana to Telecel Group. The deal was announced last year.
“The sale of Vodafone Ghana to the Telecel Group is a further step in the simplification of the African portfolio of Vodafone – commented the CEO Margherita Della Valle “Since entering the market in 2008, Vodafone has helped develop Ghana’s critical network infrastructure to support customers, businesses and communities.”
The transaction has received regulatory approval and the agreement of the Government of Ghana, which will maintain its 30% minority stake in GTCL.
