A fully developed fire is raging in an apartment building in Bergsjö, roughly three miles northwest of Hudiksvall. The emergency services have issued a so-called VMA (important notice to the public) that everyone in the area should stay indoors and close doors, windows and ventilation.
– The message has gone out due to the development of smoke, says Jimmy Andersson Taylor at the rescue service.
According to Andersson Taylor, no one is injured.
– The residents had vacated the property before we were there, he says.
The rescue service estimates that the extinguishing work will continue throughout the night towards Tuesday. The police tell TT that no crime is suspected.
