Vivo S16 Series introduced Mobile

Vivo S16 series was introduced with three different phones. Vivo S16 ProIt is the leader of the series with its curved AMOLED screen, Dimensity 8200 chipset and 50MP cameras on the front and back. Normal S16It shares the same screen and design but came with modified cameras and a few previous generation but still capable Snapdragon 870 chipset. Last member of the group Vivo S16eIt is the most affordable model in the series with the Exynos 1080 chipset and 120Hz AMOLED display.

Both the S16 Pro and the regular S16 use curved 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 50MP selfie camera with dual LED flash and autofocus placed on a notch located in the upper middle of the screen. Vivo S16e seems to have opted for a smaller 6.62-inch flat AMOLED display with the same 120Hz refresh rate and 16MP selfie camera.

The rear camera setup on the S16 Pro is managed by its 50MP main camera using Sony IMX766V sensor and OIS. Here, an 8MP ultra-wide module and a 2MP macro camera are auxiliary to the main camera. Before moving on to the Vivo S16, it has 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro units, as well as a 64MP main camera with PDAF and OIS. vivo S15We see the same setup as in . The S16, on the other hand, has a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture as well as a 2MP depth macro module and a 2MP depth camera.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 powers the new vivo S16 Pro, while its regular model came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, which was also used in last year’s vivo S15. The affordable S16e model also reuses the chipset found in its predecessor, the Samsung Exynos 1080.

The batteries in all three phones are 4,600mAh and support fast 66W wired charging. While Vivo S16 and S16 Pro use Android 13 with OriginOS 3, S16e seems to have preferred Android 11, the version 2 years ago, with Origin OS Ocean.

The Vivo s16 pro is available in black and green and starts at CNY 3,299 (about $472) for 12/256GB hardware. The top configuration, the 12/512GB model, will retail for CNY 3,599 (about $515).

Vivo s16 is available in black, green and gradient colors. The base 8/128GB model starts at CNY2,499 (about $357), while the top-of-the-line model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at CNY3,299 (about $472).

Finally, Vivo s16e went on sale in black, green and purple colors. It starts at CNY 2,099 (about $300) for the 8/128GB model and goes up to CNY2,499 (about $357) for the 12/256GB hardware.

The official sale of the three vivo S16 phones in China begins on December 30. There is currently no information about an international release. Continue to follow us.
