The days-long hike from North to South Netherlands had been on Kempenaar’s bucket list for some time. “I wanted to do this for two reasons,” she says. “First of all, to raise money for the Eye Fund, but also to show that a disability does not have to be an obstacle to doing something like this.” She hopes to inspire others with her walk, which she undertakes alone.
