VISA FOR THE IMAGE. From September 17 to 30, 2022, the international photojournalism festival exhibits a selection of the photos presented at the Grande Halle of the Parc de la Villette in Paris.

[Mis à jour le 16 septembre 2022 à 16h45] Visa pour l’Image exhibits a selection of photos from the 34th edition of the festival in the heart of the Parc de La Villette in Paris from September 17 to 30, 2022. Among the themes addressed, if the war in Ukraine is obviously not absent from the program , other exhibitions make us discover images of global overfishing, the trade in “happy pills”, but also the return of the Taliban to Afghanistan.

“Unfortunately, the world continues outside of Ukraine (…) Things are happening all over the country. planet which, because of Ukraine, we no longer talk about. Visa pour l’Image is not only devoted to war reporting. From Ukraine to climate change, here are the names and authors of the exhibitions presented this year at La Villette, and the themes addressed:

What is the Visa pour l’image festival?

For 34 years, the Perpignan International Photojournalism Festival, Visa pour l’image, has been one of the main photography events in France and abroad. Seen as “the biggest magazine in the world”, it brings together, over a fortnight, all the major international players in the press and photography. This festival bears witness to daily violence that photoreporters around the world refuse to see trivialized.
