– Representing Sweden feels fantastic, says Märta Wallinius. But the most important thing is to spread knowledge about the method and our experiences in applying it.
The method, which was invented in the Netherlands, has been developed in Växjö since 2020, together with Lund University and the Prison Service.
Reduced aggression
– The effects we see are reduced aggression and improved ability to regulate one’s emotions, explains Märta Wallinius. We have used it with forensic patients, but the method could be modified to benefit those who experience such problems in their everyday lives.
Now the project moves on to the international finals held in Budapest on December 3-4. Then the winner of the European Crime Prevention Award (ECPA) is named.
