“I researched artificial intelligence and one of the names I came across was Vera Molnar. First woman in the 60s to use digital intelligence in her creation of works of art. There is this pioneering woman side, a strong woman and when I saw her first name Vera, I said to myself eureka, it’s good… I found it. »
Born in Morocco, Nada Bargachi, grew up in Switzerland. She comes to Paris to pass her baccalaureate. Studies in mathematics applied to science, followed by a degree in eco-sciences, then she joined a major business school. At the end of her studies, she left to live in the United States before returning to Morocco, then returning to France. She first worked in the textile industry, then internationally for ready-to-wear brands.
This fashion enthusiast resumed her studies at the French Fashion Institute. It was during her career that Nada Bargachi found herself out of step with her values in her profession. She throws Vera mobile appin 2019, in order to offer more reasoned consumption of fashion.
“I had this idea for a mobile app because I needed it. Sometimes packing your suitcase, getting up early in the morning to look for something to wear, what the weather is like outside, it’s a mental load that is enormous for a young mother with a full-time job, resuming my studies and then we only wear 30% of our clothes, while the textile industry has more than doubled in terms of production. Result of the races: the textile industry is the second most polluting industry in the world after the oil industry. I said to myself: ‘I personally need a smart tool that can list all my closet, that helps me make this first decision of the day’ and I realized that all the technologies that I I needed to realize this idea that a mobile app not only existed, but was accessible. I felt compelled to do so. “
For Nada Bargachi, Vera allows you to rediscover her dressing roombut above all it is a financially advantageous approach, good for morale and the planet.
” A garment that does not pollute does not exist. That’s why we have to wear clothes that we already have. It is useless to go in the accumulation. It feels good at the end of the month because we buy less. We have new outfit ideas all the time, so it feels like we’re making new out of old. This has an impact on our daily lives to dress, but also at the end of the month on the wallet. »
