In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), during the last Council of Ministers, Jean-Pierre Bemba, Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister, announced the establishment of a commission “responsible for investigating possible abuses perpetrated by the military” in Maï-Ndombe, a province in the west of the country plagued by inter-community violence since last summer.
