Vinted officially welcomes electronic products on its second-hand platform. If it was already possible to find some, a dedicated category finally allows you to classify video games, e-readers, headphones, connected objects…
Since its launch in France in 2013, Vinted has managed to carve out a place for itself in the second-hand market sector, with some 23 million users, to the point of overshadowing Leboncoin and Cdiscount. Everyone now knows the slogan “You don’t wear it anymore? Sell it!”used as often as desired in its advertising campaigns. Originally, it was a website for selling, buying and exchanging clothes between individuals. However, the platform quickly to expand its sector of activity. You can therefore buy clothes, shoes and accessories for women, men and children, but also products for animals, toys, beauty products, small furniture, decoration, books and even high-tech products.
However, these were not very visible. Also, the platform has had a small change of interface, with the appearance of new categories, including one called “Electronics”, grouping together everything that is video games, consoles, e-readers, tablets, audio products, connected objects, virtual reality accessories, etc. This will greatly facilitate searches!
Vinted interface: two new categories are coming
While this change does make things easier overall, there are still a few minor glitches. The products included in these subcategories are not always well-listed. In “Reader” for example, we find light bulbs, bookmarks, hair curlers and even a lamp in the shape of a poop…
But the “Electronics” category is not the only new feature. Another category, called “Designer items”, is also making its appearance. It includes luxury items, such as Louis Vuitton handbags, Chanel jewelry or Dior shoes. Suffice to say that we are not at all in the same price range! Finally, the platform is launching the “Revenue and statistics” function, which allows users to track their sales and benefit from a detailed dashboard to evaluate their activity.
