Vincent Rinaldo, 12, saved the life of a woman who collapsed

Matilda Thuresson from Kinna had a sudden epileptic seizure and collapsed
Then 12-year-old Vincent Rinaldo cycled by – and called 112 immediately.
– He has done something incredible, he has saved a person’s life, says Matilda Thuresson in a greeting to Vincent in Efter fem.

It was last week that the dramatic course of events unfolded. Matilda Thuresson was out walking when she had an epileptic fit and collapsed on the pavement. Luckily, Vincent Rinaldo was nearby on his bike, and understood that all was not right.

– I saw a girl lying on the ground shaking. Very. Then I realized it wasn’t right. Her face was bleeding profusely as well.

Vincent showed great determination and called 112 right away.

– My friend was there and told me to call my mother. I said it was too late. It could be serious, so I called 112 immediately.

Tried to contact the hero

After the heroic act, Matilda was told that the reason why she got help so quickly was thanks to the, to her, unknown twelve-year-old. Then she decided to call Vincent out on social media so she could thank him properly. Last Saturday, Matilda met her hero.

– Approaching a stranger who is lying in convulsions like that is incredibly brave. I had never done that as a twelve-year-old. I hope Vincent is well and I hope he understands what he has done. He has done something incredible, he has saved a person’s life. He can feel proud, says Matilda.

Vincent is slightly moved when he hears Matilda’s words.

– It was very nice. There are almost tears.
